Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be a high school senior registered in one of the high schools within the WDKY-TV viewing area. Entrants must be nominated by either a school counselor or principle in a high school in the WDKY –TV viewing area.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., WDKY Inc, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WDKY-TV (the “Station”) and Sullivan University, Arby's, and Don Jacobs of Lexington., their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only two (2) nominations per high school will be accepted.
(b) To enter, a high school official (Principal or school counselor) must complete a Making The Grade nomination form (the school name, the nominee's name, the nominee's parents' name, the nominee's address and a phone number to reach the nominee) and mail it to WDKY-TV, Making The Grade, 836 Euclid Avenue, Lexington, KY 40502 or email it to ndick@wdky.sbgnet.com . by May 16, 2008 .
(c) Entries will be accepted from April 30, 2008 till 5pm on May 16, 2008 . Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or for printing errors or server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(d) Up to Seventy (70) students will be nominated; One (1) nominee will be selected by station (WDKY) personnel as Making the Grade Student of the Year based on the following criteria; 50% grades, 25% community service, and 25% leadership. The Making the Grade Student of The Year will be selected on May 20 th and will be revealed at the Making the Grade Luncheon on May 29 th at one of the local city parks.
(e) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. Up to Seventy (70) high school seniors will be nominated and one (1) high school senior will be declared The Making the Grade Student of the Year. Up to seventy (70) nominated seniors will receive will receive a FOX pen, notebook, alarm clock and briefcase, and an Arby's gift certificate. Nominated Senior prize package is valued at $50. The Making the Grade Student of The Year will receive a laptop computer (estimated value $750), a Bed, Bath and Beyond Gift certificate (estimated value $150), a gift certificate from ecampus.com (estimated value $150) and an Arby's gift certificate (estimated value $150). The grand prize package is valued at $1,200. The grand prize will be awarded at a luncheon on May 29 th at a local city park for all nominees and immediate family.
2. Nominees will be notified by phone by station (WDKY) personnel. Nominees must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be signed on May 29 th at the Making the Grade Luncheon. If a nominee is a minor, then the winner's parents or guardian must sign a release and affidavit of eligibility before the winner receives his or her prize. Nominees must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If nominee cannot be notified within 10 days of May 16th or does not attend the Making the Grade luncheon to sign the affidavit of eligibility it will constitute forfeiture of the prize. If forfeited, the prize will remain the property of Station. Another winner will not be selected.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per nominee.
7. WDKY, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
8. WDKY, Inc, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that, WDKY, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

1. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WDKY-TV 836 Euclid Ave Suite 201, Lexington, KY 40502 a nd on the Station's website at www.wdky56.com.
3. For a list of nominees, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to WDKY-TV, 836 Euclid Ave , Lexington , KY 40502 by June 30 th , 2008 .
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. WDKY, Inc., Sullivan University, Arby's, and Don Jacob's of Lexington accepts no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
